We offer you our THIRD arts in action summit 2025. ‘What’s  Art Got To Do With Freedom & Justice?’

At the first two summits in Belfast (2019, 2022) artists, musicians, business owners, educators, police officers, attorneys, dancers, correctional guards, painters, performers, woodworkers and various engaged humans joined together in audiences, in conversations, in art installations, in performances to address the opioid crisis, and then the dual crises, of opioid addiction and the pandemic. 

Times have turned and opioid addiction continues to take, and to brutally waste, countless thousands of precious lives.Yet NOW we are facing something different, something even harder, a fissure, a split in our country that dangerously exacerbates and amplifies every other issue and challenge we have. 

Together we face unsure and dangerous times. AIMe’s mission  proposes that it is our artists, musicians, poets, who help light our way by illuminating our own inner sense of freedom and justice. Art and artists very often help us to rediscover our authentic voice, our own conviction. 

In the face of our heartbroken tearing apart we offer our theme this year of 2025.  What does FREEDOM mean to YOU ? What does JUSTICE mean to YOU as an artist, a dancer, a musician, a painter, a poet, a filmmaker, as a human being? 

We gather together in Ellsworth to experience a blast of talent, skills, passion, and love from ‘Our Youth, Our Future' on November 7th, to ‘Our Past, Our Present’ on November 8th..
