CAMP JINKa
Camp Jinka is a free summer program for kids and teens whose lives have been impacted by loss. Children attending camp have a parent who is terminally ill or has passed away. This unique art-based camp offers creative indoor and outdoor activities while encouraging expression and connection with others having a similar life experience.
Summer camp and Events: Our free 3 week camp is already underway this summer and we are looking forward to this fall and winter with a few inspired community-friendly events, mini camp and our fundraiser that helps us grow our program every year.
Our fundraising event will be our first annual "Toss For Loss" cornhole tournament. Local businesses, community members and families are invited to create teams to help raise money for our kids who have lost a parent. This will take place in Belfast, down on the waterfront in between Front Street Pub and Front Street Shipyard near the harbor walk in early October. Official dates to be announced.
For more information about our free camps and events, or if you know someone who has lost a parent and would like to get involved or even volunteer, please email us @ judy@jinkafoundation.org.
